NRT History

NRT was founded by our Chairman Neil Richard Turner back in 1994. A family run business using his loft as an office, working out on the tools during the day then back in the evening doing estimates, invoices and all the usual paperwork that is required to get a business off the ground.

Neil’s background was with the local Electricity Board where he completed his apprenticeship and gained the skills of general electrical installation and of course the electricity network.

NRT Electrics

NRT Electrics was incorporated in 1992 and continued to grow from strength to strength. In 1996 a corporate identity was required and to this end a staff competition created the NRT “TICK” logo. NRT being Neil’s initials and the tick representing a business on the up.

In 2000 Paul Antino our Managing Director joined Neil as a business partner. Paul also worked at the local electricity board as a Regional Manager and brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. This was the next step in pushing the business forward and with their previous working relationship Neil and Paul made great business partners.

NRT Electrical & Mechanical

It was in 2000 that NRT Electrics changed its name to NRT Electrical & Mechanical.

The business continued to grow and be successful. Gaining long term relationships with clients, many we still do business with to this day and consistently increasing the customer base.
With Paul and Neil concentrating on bringing the work in as well as dealing with the operational running of the business the time was right to make another addition to the management team. In November 2004 Ryan Simmons our Director of Operations joined the team. Ryan also completed his apprenticeship at the local electricity board and then went on to run businesses for a national electrical wholesaler before joining NRT.
Of course there were other members of staff that joined the business during this time and as a team the business grew. NRT has always been proud of its staff retention.

NRT Building Services Group

As the business took on different types of works and in turn created different business streams NRT changed its name to NRT Building Services Group in 2014.

To this day the ethos of NRT has been the same. Treat your staff and clients with respect and compassion and always strive to deliver a first class service.

NRT Group

NRT Group as you see the logo now was a natural progression for 2019.
